Acubriefs Newsletter Volume 2 Issue 3
March 2001
Editor's Note: One of the themes of this edition is the exploration
of Western mechanisms through which acupuncture works. It is a huge
subject area; review of this newsletter and a reading of the online
article by Dr. Oleson will help bring most readers relatively up-to-date.
The article about the crossing method of point detection should
also make the reader contemplate whether current Western paradigms
will ever be able to readily explain what is observed in clinical
practice.
Although not reviewed in this newsletter a recent article by Dr.
Shang may interest some readers who are wanting to explore new models
for understanding acupuncture's mechanisms. The web address of the
online article is: http://www.medicalacupuncture.org/aama_marf/journal/Vol11_2/conduct.html
