Acubriefs Newsletter has three objectives:

1. To provide a centralized resource for reviewing new citations on acupuncture. Citations in the English literature are initially the primary focus.

2. To provide annotated abstracts on citations of particular interest to clinicians and researchers.

3. To facilitate access to citations quoted/reviewed.

Sources for citations are the same as the Medical Acupuncture Research Foundation's (MARF) online bibliography of acupuncture. The editor for the newsletter is J.K. Rotchford MD MPH, President of the Medical Acupuncture Research Foundation.

Reviewers for articles are either members of the MARF board or experts chosen by the board to review articles for particular medical subjects or specialized areas of acupuncture.

Subscription to the newsletter is free but does requires that you provide us with some identifying data. www.acubriefs.com/newsletter.htm We expect subscriber's to have e-mail software and preferable a browser which allows one to view cited links.

Current References:

In the future this section will include all new entries that we make into MARF's database that are relatively current. For this issue we are only including only those provided during the month of October, 2000 by the British Medical Journal's update service which covers Medline through Pub Med and the British Medical Journal. In the future we will also include links to sources whenever possible.
