Acubriefs Newsletter Volume 3 Issue 12 December 2002 Editor's Note: Although Seirin and OMS continue to support
our website we have lost their generous support for this newsletter
and we have yet to find further sponsors. We will, however, be publishing
lists of citations monthly, and I hope to continue with reviews
on a quarterly basis. Over the past couple of years I've systematically
highlighted some of the strengths and shortcomings of current research
in acupuncture. It has involved being quite critical. It is difficult
to design, perform, and report high quality research in any field.
It is especially difficult in the field of acupuncture where as
I've noted even the term "acupuncture" is at best very
loosely defined. So I want to commend all those researchers of acupuncture
